At Tacala, new store development and upgrading current facilities are pursued aggressively. John Figert, VP Development, is always exploring new markets and trade areas for sites where Tacala can expand, and the company is strategically replacing and remodeling older buildings.
Not only are Tacala's development opportunities exciting, but Taco Bell has recently introduced a new restaurant-design concept, called Bold Choice. It's currently available at only a small percentage of locations in the country, and it's an important foundation of Tacala's growth strategy.
With a nod to its historic mission roots, the new Bold Choice building makes a powerful statement, creating a strong guest invitation through its "left-of-center" design. Rich colors, varying textures, and contemporary architectural elements result in a more modern, dramatic feel. The exterior of the building draws people in with its dynamic style, and guests will find the new interior more attractive, spacious, and inviting. The back-of-house also features the latest developments in food production and storage design.
Tacala's Development Department is typically working on a dozen projects at a time, including site development, new building construction, or remodels. Tacala enthusiastically supports Taco Bell's mission to give our guests the best possible Taco Bell experience, and providing this through superior facilities is one of our core beliefs as well.
Since September 2004, Tacala has introduced the Bold Choice to several trade areas and is applying this concept to all future restaurant construction and remodels.
